Role Overview

As a Boat & Yacht Sales Consultant at Strong’s Marine, you will play a critical role in connecting customers with their ideal boating solutions. Position Summary:

The Marina Office Administrator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the marina office, offering exceptional customer service, customer inquiries, taking reservations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for boaters and visitors.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities common to all:

  • Assist the Office Manager with anything from project planning to staff management. Ensure all appropriate measures have been taken to enable vibrant, successful, safe and fun events and create memories for clients and/or Employees.
  • Communicate with the Office Manager and General Manager in all important situations to ensure a smooth flow for our clients.
  • Answer phones creating a lasting impression demonstrating enthusiasm and using professional language, such as, in response to customer’s “Thank You” – rather than respond “no problem…” Try “Delighted to help, is there anything else we can do for you?”
  • Listen actively to our customers’ needs. Be helpful directly or provide proper introductions to appropriate resource who can be of assistance.
  • Impact Strong’s Marine Client Delight by problem solving and turning any frustrated clients into repeat customers if the situation arises. Listen carefully, apologize, solve the problem together, thank them for partnering with us to solve the problem, and later atone for any inconvenience with some consideration at your discretion to strengthen the relationship and build Client Loyalty.
  • Learn and demonstrate a strong command of Strong’s Marine customer service policies and product knowledge that can enable quick and accurate assistance, training, and instruction to customers.
  • Maintain professional looking office space(s) and lobby to welcome customers and new walk-in visitors.
  • Perform routine office procedures including filing, processing of all correspondence by company President, Director, General Manager etc., processing payments from clients that either walk or call in and maintaining supplies.
  • Maintain complete and accurate data within computer systems including customer and vessel records.
  • Assist Office Manager with any additional responsibilities as needed to run the day-to-day operations of the marina.

We’re looking for that right person to help verify, process, and distribute new and pre-owned Boat/Yacht leads to our sales team. We are growing and looking to add a talented individual to our Business Development Center. The BDC (Business Development Center Coordinator focuses on increasing the sales traffic by handling inbound sales calls and making outbound calls which produce solid and specific appointments for the sales department. The BDC agent acts as the essential communications link between the customer and the dealership. The BDC Representative will work to support the sales team with resources to further assist the customer with a positive Boat/Yacht buying experience.

 

Your daily responsibilities:

  • Receive customer calls and establish follows-up with sales appointments.
  • Make outbound calls following up with customer inquiries and create sales opportunities.
  • Respond quickly to internet & phone inquiries by email, phone & text.
  • Provide customers with exceptional product knowledge and direct them to the appropriate dealership resources.
  • You will provide a friendly and helpful demeanor with the sales team while working on answering customer inquiries on both new and used boats.
